Márton Mogyorósi, born in 1992 in Budapest, Hungary, is a multidisciplinary artist and material scientist currently based in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Working across various mediums, including oil paintings, ceramics, sculptures, digital drawings, animations, lighting, and electronic installations, Mogyorósi is best known for his recent installation Studies in Yellow, where he explores the intersection of monochromatic light, plasma chemistry, and the human perception of life.
Mogyorósi’s work is characterized by a deep investigation into the evolving relationship between human perception and technological advancement. Utilising materials and components from the modern industry he aims to bring a higher purpose for our consumerist culture by directing attention to the technological advancements of the Anthropocene. Bringing an engineer perspective to the world of art, he searches for a poetic perspective exploring phenomenological juxtapositions such as the limits of our perception, visible vs invisible, the boundaries between material and immaterial or ephemeral and permanent.
Márton Mogyorósi’s work has been featured in significant exhibitions, including *Studies in Yellow* at NulZes in Eindhoven. His pieces are held in private collections across Hungary, the Netherlands, and Brazil. He is also slated to participate in upcoming exhibitions such as *Hidden Wavelength: Contemporary Scenes in Infrared* at Dutch Design Week 2024 and *Generational Iterations* at Magnet Gallery in Budapest.
